About PIN BHABA PASS TREK

Pin Bhaba Pass (4,915m) is an epic, high-altitude crossover trek that rivals the famous Pin Parvati pass in visual drama while offering a safer, more exhilarating route. Traversing from the lush, dense forests of Kinnaur into the stark, Mars-like high-altitude desert of the Pin Valley in Spiti, this trek is a masterclass in Himalayan landscape diversity.

The trek begins from the remote village of Kafnu, ascending through dark, enchanting forests of pine, cedar, and silver birch along the roaring Bhaba river. Trekkers camp in stunning alpine clearings like Mulling and Karah, where vibrant wildflower meadows meet towering glacier-capped peaks.

As you reach Phutsirang camp, the environment becomes raw and alpine. The lush greenery fades into rugged moraine fields and expansive snow patches as you prepare your gear and mind for the challenging 4,900-meter pass crossing.

The summit climb up to Pin Bhaba Pass requires navigating steep scree slopes and snowfields. Standing on the windy pass reveals an unforgettable contrast: looking back at the vibrant green valleys of Kinnaur, and looking forward into the vast, pink-and-purple sedimentary rock mountains of Spiti.

Descending into the Pin valley leads to Mudh village, a picturesque settlement perched amidst barren multi-colored cliffs. Pin Bhaba Pass is a grand, adventurous journey for trekkers who crave dramatic scenery and remote wilderness exploration.
