EXPEDITION ETHICS & WELFARE
Our uncompromising pledge to mountain preservation, sherpa dignity, and alpine heritage across the Indian Himalayas.
Leave-No-Trace (LNT) Mandate
We operate a strict carry-in, carry-out policy for all non-biodegradable waste. Every climber is provided a personal eco-bag for wrappers, batteries, and plastics. All campsite human waste at high-altitude basecamps is managed via biodegradable toilet tents and transported down to designated municipal treatment facilities.
Sherpa & Porter Dignity
We strictly adhere to International Porter Protection Group (IPPG) guidelines. Our porters and pack-animal handlers receive above-industry daily wages, comprehensive high-altitude health and life insurance, warm alpine clothing, and equal access to basecamp medical oxygen and rations. We strictly cap porter load limits at 20kg per individual.
Sacred Peak Etiquette
Many Himalayan summits, glacial lakes (such as Satopanth Tal), and mountain passes are sacred to local communities. We enforce respectful conduct: no polluting of glacial water sources, no disturbing of prayer flags or stone cairns, and maintaining decorum around alpine shrines and monastic settlements.
Solar & Clean Energy
To minimize kerosene and fossil fuel emissions in fragile alpine valleys, our basecamps are equipped with high-efficiency solar charging generators for satellite phones, radios, and climber electronics, alongside clean-burning LPG mess kitchen installations.
