About FACHUKANDI PASS TREK

The Fachukandi Pass Trek is an extraordinary cross-over expedition connecting the remote trails of Sankri in the Supin Valley with the Yamunotri Valley in Uttarakhand and Himachal borderlands. Traversing pristine high-altitude landscapes, the journey takes you across alpine meadows, glaciated valleys, serene mountain lakes, and sweeping high ridges.

The route incorporates sections of iconic high-country terrain including Juda ka Talab, the high-altitude Bhoj Gadi camp, and the dramatic Phulara Ridge traverse. Walking along rolling velvet meadows at Pushtara, trekkers are rewarded with unobstructed 360-degree panoramas of the Swargarohini Massif, Bandarpoonch I, and Kalanag (Black Peak).

As the trail ascends further into glacial solitude, you reach Saru Tal—a tranquil emerald alpine lake surrounded by dramatic rocky ridges and snowline slopes where blue sheep and rare high-altitude birds thrive. The summit push over Fachukandi Pass (14,290 ft) is a thrilling high-mountain challenge, crossing snowfields and steep terrain before descending past Leka Dogri toward Hanuman Chatti.

Offering immense solitude away from crowded commercial trails, this trek immerses you in authentic Himalayan wilderness, rich medicinal flora, and traditional Garhwali mountain culture.
