About ALI BEDNI BUGYAL TREK

Ali Bedni Bugyal (3,500m) takes trekkers across two of the largest, most magnificent, and photogenic high-altitude alpine meadows (bugyals) in Asia. Situated on the legendary Roopkund pilgrim trail in Uttarakhand, these twin meadows offer endless green rolling hills framed against towering snow-capped mountain walls.

The trek begins from the base village of Lohajung, ascending through dense, enchanting forests of oak and rhododendron. Walking along the soothing sounds of mountain streams, trekkers climb steadily until the trees suddenly part, revealing the breathtaking expanse of Ali Bugyal.

Stepping onto Ali Bugyal feels like entering a boundless green paradise above the clouds. Wild horses graze peacefully on velvety grass as the colossal western face of Mt. Trishul (7,120m) and Nanda Ghunti rise dramatically from the valley floor, creating a stunning visual contrast.

A short, scenic walk across the undulating green ridges connects Ali Bugyal to Bedni Bugyal. Here, the sacred reflection lake of Bedni Kund sits nestled amidst the meadows, offering iconic reflections of the surrounding Himalayan giants in its still waters.

Camping on the edge of these expansive meadows under a star-filled night sky is an experience of pure serenity. Ali Bedni Bugyal is a timeless classic that showcases the Himalayas at their most poetic and visually captivating.
